District festival in northern Duisburg: Hamborn and Walsum celebrate together
From the Pollmann-Eck to the Rheinaue Walsum, clubs and traders invite visitors to a district festival in Duisburg's green north.
Northern Duisburg celebrates a joint district festival in 2026. Around Hamborn town hall and the Pollmann-Eck, clubs, retailers and initiatives present themselves with a stage program, a market and hands-on activities. In Walsum there are additional guided tours through the Rheinaue, one of the region's most valuable nature reserves, as well as stations on the district's mining tradition. The festival aims to strengthen cohesion in the north and to highlight the recreational qualities between the Rhine and the former colliery sites.
