Duisburger Akzente 2026: culture festival explores the theme of change
The city's oldest culture festival once again animates theatres, museums and public squares around the Inner Harbour from 6 to 22 March.
The Duisburger Akzente is one of Germany's most traditional urban culture festivals. In 2026 it ran under the guiding theme of change from 6 to 22 March. Theater Duisburg, the Lehmbruck Museum, the municipal theatre and numerous venues across the city centre presented drama, concerts, readings and exhibitions. A particular focus was the structural transformation of the Ruhr region and the future of the industrial city. Many events at the Inner Harbour and on Koenig-Heinrich-Platz were free to attend.
