Tiger & Turtle – Magic Mountain
Tiger & Turtle – Magic Mountain is one of the most spectacular landmarks in the Ruhr region. The roughly 21-meter-high sculpture on the Heinrich-Hildebrand-Höhe in the Angerpark is shaped like a roller coaster but can be walked on foot - only the loop cannot be crossed. Some 249 steps lead up, past railings and stairs, with wide views over Duisburg, the Rhine and the industrial landscape. At night the structure by Markus Bauer and Heike Mutter is lit with LEDs and glows visible from afar.
