Kaiserberg
The Kaiserberg is a wooded hill in the east of Duisburg and a green oasis above the city. Laid out as early as the 19th century as a recreation spot for the bourgeoisie, it today offers hiking trails, mature trees and viewpoints. On the heights, the Kaiser Wilhelm monument recalls the Gründerzeit era. The zoo, the botanical garden and the former swimming stadium lie on the slopes of the hill. The Kaiserberg is a popular destination for walks, jogging and quiet hours in the green.
