Duisburg Zoo
Duisburg Zoo on the Kaiserberg is one of the most established zoos in the Ruhr region and a magnet for families. It became known for its dolphinarium, its rare koalas and the tropical Rio Negro adventure world, a walk-through rainforest hall. Around 5,000 animals of more than 250 species live on the hilly grounds, including fossas, golden lion tamarins and numerous breeding successes of endangered species. The A3 motorway runs straight through the zoo and is spanned by an animal bridge.
