Duisburg Port (duisport)
The Duisburg Port, operated by duisport AG, is the largest inland port in the world and a central logistics hub for Europe. Across a vast area along the Rhine and the Ruhr, containers, coal, steel and goods from all over the world are transhipped - also as the western terminus of the "New Silk Road" from China. On a harbor boat tour, visitors experience the huge cranes, container terminals and quays up close. The port is the heart and economic engine of the city on the Rhine.
