Landscape Park Duisburg-Nord
Landscape Park Duisburg-Nord is perhaps the most spectacular industrial backdrop in the Ruhr region. On the site of an ironworks closed in 1985, a unique park was created in which the rusting plants are preserved and put to new use. Visitors climb the ore bunkers, ascend Blast Furnace 5 for panoramic views, dive in the flooded gasometer or stroll through wildly overgrown casting halls. At nightfall, the light installation by Jonathan Park transforms the works into a glowing total artwork. Admission is free.
